I was in a accident. The tow truck driver recommended these guys.

(He gets a kick back which we found out later). When you sign, you are in for a minimum of 15 DAYS! (They know youre going to change your mind and they make sure they get their $). Whereas, if they just operated ethically, they wouldnt have to do that.

I was told the car would be comparable to my upgraded vehicle. It wasnt. Not even close. Not even the same size.

Mine is bigger. The rental was very old. Very manual. Scratches and high kilometres.

I had not driven this model before and a day into it, I realized it wasnt going to work. They wouldnt trade it out or let me out to go get one that works. They rule in fear because they have you.

But I am not going to let that happen here. Bad enough that the accident happened but then to be bullied this way is gross.

1. Customer agent charged me LDW claiming this was mandatory insurance while it was actually not 2. I asked many times via email or 3rd party to receive invoice by email to get an explanation various surcharges applied that are not present anywhere in the contract, I never heard back from the company 3. Upon returning the car and getting charged unjustified amount due, I got threatened by the customer agent in case I did not settle the amount. I got robbed by this company, they should be stopped from doing this business

We rent a car and showed a damage but they said it is not bad. At the end we had to pay 500$ for nothing! Never more with peel!! It was may 2018.

In the middle of nowhere is was forced to pay an additional insurance although i had the written proof of all insurance included. They wanted me to pay additional rental fee but i was prepared and showed my credit card account. I got a car stiffy and driven already an awful lot kilometres. Hands off this company.

From my first encounter with this company and these people I didnt want to deal with them. We were delayed by almost 2 hours collecting the car we rented - it was still within their opening hours - but the office was shut...

We called them and they advised that if its quiet then they shut up shop - EVEN IF THEY HAVE CUSTOMERS BOOKED. They then charged me $25 as an OUT OF HOURS FEE!!! The bloody cheek of them!!! There was so many hidden extras - 3rd party cover etc etc etc When I returned the car early they would not even discuss refunding me the days I would not be using it - fair enough I guess...

BUT they then decided that I had scratched the bumper - I HAD NOT! BUT they went on to charge me almost $500!!!

I tried to argue but in the end if I was to stand my ground like I would have if I had time to - I would have missed my flight and that was much more important... I would NEVER use this company again and I would recommend that NO-ONE else ever did.

Unexpected additional costs

When we arrived at Toronto airport we were collected and taken to Peel Car Rentals, all seemed fine until we were asked where we would be going on our vacation, as soon as we mentioned we would be travelling approx. 40 miles into USA we were told there was now an additional fee of $50 plus tax (totalling $68). We have hired cars from Toronto airport and driven into USA before and have never been charged extra for this. As we were now at Peel Car Rental we had very little option other than to pay. We were also informed that our unlimited mileage option was no longer valid, we had a limit of 200 miles per day. It is also very hard to find Peel Car Rental when returning the car, this took us approx. 45 minutes of driving round and round the same block to find the correct entrance. My advice would be to stick to one of the larger on airport companies, it is cheaper and easier in the long run.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Every rental company has different policies going across the border.

There is a border crossing fee if you are going across the border as per our company policy. Mileage is unlimited as long as you stay in same renting province.

Otherwise its limited if you are going outside the province please read the company polices for more information. It is Customer responsibility to read every company policies before renting a car from them so there are no surprises.

I rented a car through Rentalcars.com and used Peel. I paid for 16 days rental in advance, including insurance. Once we landed in Toronto, we got picked up at Viscount Station and where brought to their offices. As we where late we where charged $50. The gent that collected us was very pleasant and as we where late we had no trouble paying this. We then had to pay an additional fee for extra insurance. I had to pay as unfortunately I had pre-paid and had no way of proving I had already purchased insurance through Rentalcars.com. I was then promised by the same gent that I would receive my security deposit back within a week of renting the car (despite the fact it was a 2 week rental). While I found this strange I was happy to hear it. Surprise, surprise, the refund never happened, I called Peel the next week to follow up on my supposed refund and was promised by a gent that this would be refunded for me today. Again more than happy. After checking my account 4 days later the refund STILL had not been done. I called again only to be told that as it's a security deposit it can't be refunded until after the car is returned. This is what I expected to begin with, but as I'd been told that I would get a refund before this, I now expected one as it's mis-selling. I was told I would get a refund within 7 - 10 days of my return home. After a phone call to my bank I've now been told it will be 21 days before my refund is available! As you can imagine I'm extremely pissed. The car rented was great, drove well and was clean. The customer service in Peel is shocking. I would never use this company again and I will be telling anyone I know to avoid! Should I be charged with any additional fees (which seems to be there thing), legal action will be pursued.

We rented a car for 2 days, first they didn't had the vehicle we reserved, then they charged us 100$ more then what we expected. When we returned the car, there was another charge of 50$ for damage that was already there in a first place, but at the time we ware renting, it was minor chip which the guy told us they don't charge for, therefor they didn't mark it in inspection sheet. After a month they charged us again saying we used a etr highway which we tried to avoid in a first place. So far the worst experience in car renting. Never again.

Required me to get LDW for $9.95 a day

I got a confirmed rental agreement from AirportRentals.com. I got picked up by a very pleasant fellow about 10:30 PM from Viscount station at Pearson Airport. Then he required me to prove I had insurance. He finally accepted a PDF that my insurance company sent me. Then he required me to purchase LDW insurance for $9.95 a day (on a ten day rental). He said Canadian law required it and I only had $500K liability. He needed me to have a million dollars insurance before he would not require me to buy his LDW rider. I refused. He drove me back to the pickup area at Viscount Station. I called another rental agency who rented me a car without LDW. These guys are complete scammers. I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Dear Sir, sorry for the inconvenience, Our company policy states very clearly that we will required a proof of insurance at the time of rental. Having a pink slip does not give any information about the policy coverage.

Having coverage confirmation at the rental desk protects the company and the renter to avoid any disputes later. Unfortunately our company had bad past experiences, where the renter said they have insurance and the vehicle was involved in an accident, and they end up having no insurance for rental coverage.

Rented a car from Dec 23 until Dec 30. Nothing big good things to say about my experience with this company. Paul who I dealt when picking up the car was great. He did not try to push all of the extra insurance onto me like most companies do. Service was very fast and efficient. Upon dropping off the car one of the staff went the extra mile and drove me to my hotel a few blocks away. Very happy with this company and will use again in a heart beat.

I failed to spot a small dent that hadn't been reported previously when I picked up a car and I thought they were going to make problems for me. However, they didn't and I was pleasantly surprised by their very good and reasonable approach. Will certainly consider using them again. Good price, good shuttle service to the airport.

Rented a car from Peel auto rental last week on my trip to YYZ. They picked me up from Viscount Station within 10 mins. Fast delivery to the office where i signed the papers. The car was supposed to be a Cruze but because my flight was delayed 8 hrs they couldnt save the car so I got a Corrola instead which was fine. They price was excellent with unlimited KM's. When I returned the car, the driver brought us to the airport and dropped us off within minutes and wouldnt accept a tip. Overall, a great experience. Would highly recommend this company!

Our flight was delayed and we were 2 hours late for pickup at YYZ on Saturday night. They said "Sorry we're now closed until Monday, come back Monday morning. After talking with them they agreed being stranded for 2 nights at the Toronto airport isn't an option. They said we'd get 100% of our money back. We relaxed, went to Budget (they were one of many companies that were open) and rented our car. All was good... Or so we thought. BUT NOW Peel have declined returning our money because they now say they provided us with an option but WE declined it. I don't think being stranded for 2 days at YYZ is an option. Peel Car Rental... You SUCK.... I hope you go out of business.

i landed and called the 1-800 #, directions were given clearly and there was no confusion finding the pick up area. The shuttle was there upon my arrival, and the driver was very friendly. The location was not far from the airport at all and the staff was very kind and helpful. The rental process was quick and easy and i was in my car with the direction i needed in about 10 minutes time. Finding the location on my way back was extremely easy as it is right off the main strip along the airport and getting dropped off and returning the car was quick and convenient. All in all a great experience, i would recommend everyone rent from peel, the staff is great and the prices are hard to beat, no hidden chargers, no headaches.

I had a very good experience :) After reading the views i was afraid to rent a car from peel car rentals. . . . . However personally i was happy with the service it was quick and fast. . . . After arriving at the Airport i was told to go the Viscount Station for off Airport rentals. After arriving there i called them they picked me up in about 5 minutes, i was booked for small car they upgraded me to a mid size car for free since they had no small cars available. I will recommend them to my friends and family. ) ) Thanks Guys
